Education and Academic Career

Nato a Trento nel 1960, si laurea in Economia e Commercio presso l'Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano. Successivamente consegue un PhD in Economia Aziendale, svolgendo attività di ricerca presso l'Università di Bergamo e la Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität di Monaco di Baviera, con una tesi focalizzata sulle imprese di assicurazione.

È professore associato di Contabilità e Bilanci d’Impresa nella Facoltà di Giurisprudenza dell’Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano e titolare per affidamento del corso di Tecnica Professionale nella Facoltà di Economia della stessa università.

Scientific contribution

He actively participates in numerous scientific committees: he is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Journal of Chartered Accountants, the Technical-Scientific Committee of the Association for the Development of Banking and Stock Market Studies (ASSBB), the Steering Committee of the Study and Research Center in Italian and Comparative Tax Law at the Catholic University, and the Scientific Committee of the Foundation for Financial Education and Savings (FEduF).

Professional activity and corporate experience

He is a chartered accountant registered with the Milan Order, the Register of Statutory Auditors, and the Register of Technical Consultants at the Milan Court. He has held administrative and supervisory roles in companies operating in the insurance, banking, financial, and industrial sectors (energy, real estate, life sciences, media), as well as in cultural and social foundations.

Role at BANCOMAT

He has been President of BANCOMAT S.p.A. since 2017 and also serves as Chairman of the Risk and Internal Controls Committee of the company.
